Key West’s own jam band, The Happy Dog, celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd! Guitarist/vocalist Jesse Wagner, bassist Keith Snyder, keyboardist Bill Levinson, and drummer Jeremy Tucker bring their unique blend of psychedelic rock, blues, country, funk, and jazz to this very special performance. The Happy Dog has been a staple of the Key West music scene for over six years, paying tribute to the Dead, Floyd Talking Heads, Neil Young, The Band, Bob Dylan, and many more! Join The Happy Dog as they make their Key West Theater debut for a very special recording of one of their always-epic performances!

The Happy Dog
The Happy Dog is a sound zoo. Live shows can take on an improvisational spirit that may swing between any of their influences ranging from the Talking Heads to Bob Marley to the Beatles to the Grateful Dead. The sound is amplified by more modern influences such as Wilco, Ween, Radiohead, Animal Collective, and T.V. on the Radio. The band is based in Philadelphia, and regularly plays throughout the region, from Key West to New York. All management, recording, production, and touring is done through a network of friends or in house. No artificial ingredients or preservatives!
Jesse Wagner
Jesse Wagner plays guitar, sings, and writes songs. The songs come to him in waking dreams, in double wide trailers, and in the rain. He is a strange and transcendent musician and created the band, The Happy Dog.
Keith Snyder
Keith Snyder has played bass (and piano) with Jesse Wagner and The Happy Dog for more than 22 years. He graduated with a degree in Bass Performance, and attended Temple University for Jazz Bass Performance. Keith has been teaching and playing professionally for over 20 years in the greater Philadelphia region. While jazz has been his primary focus he currently performs regularly in wide range of genres with many of the regions finest musicians. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, practicing yoga and reading.
Jeremy Tucker
Jeremy Tucker is a drummer beyond description, especially since he refuses to provide a description for this bio. Made of the finest cuts of sirloin, this mild-mannered metronome finds the usual in the unusual, and visa-versa. A true musician’s musician, Jeremy punctuates the melodies of The Happy Dog with a deft touch and cosmic feel.
Tony Thomas
This retired Navy keyboards player from Chicago started playing at the age of 14. When performing live, hold on to your hat; Tony can play anything from hard-charging funk to ethereal jams. Tony’s musical background includes gospel, funk, and jazz. Musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Dave Brubeck.
Bill Levinson
Bill has been playing piano professionally since the age of 14. He has played with a wide range of projects, from the eight piece soul/funk of The Black Widow Band, to Splintered Sunlight, a Grateful Dead jam band. He joined up with The Happy Dog in Key West in the winter of 2015.
